Washington Waithaka
Washington has 25 years’ international experience as a treasury and finance leader within global organisations. His diverse career ranges from audit of international development aid projects with Ernst & Young Eastern Africa, to leading finance and treasury teams in London and New York with American Express and Barclays Bank.
Following 11 years with Barclays Bank, this year Washington moved to become Director of Liquidity at Chipper Cash – a fintech dedicated to expanding financial inclusion in regions of the world most in need of accessible, easy-to-use and affordable financial services.
Washington is married and has two children. He enjoys cycling, basketball and spending time with friends and family.
